Kemer Turkey

Kemer is a seaside resort town and district in Antalya Province on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast, about 40 km (25 mi) west of the city of Antalya, along the Turkish Riviera. Located on the Gulf of Antalya, Kemer features about 53 km (33 mi) of coastline backed by the western Taurus Mountains. The area has a typical Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and a warm sea. Until the early 1980s it was a quiet rural district, but today Kemer and the nearby coastal villages are major centers of tourism in Turkey.
